Wondering what you are going to do with your kids this holiday?
We know variety is key, for you and them, so we think we’ve come up with a great local Friday out that is a balance of health, fun and nature and supports local businesses (oh and isn’t expensive!)
Here we go…
Start at Iveridge Yoga for our weekly Family Yoga class. Every Friday 11.30-12.30 during the summer holidays. A class designed to give you and your child the all the benefits of yoga together whilst having lots of fun (read more about the benefits here).
It doesn’t end there. Iveridge is just a short drive away from the centre of Leeds, which means it isn’t cramped up into a suburban space, but is set in beautiful gardens and orchards to enjoy. It has a cafe offering hot and cold drinks, a tables outside where you can enjoy any summer sun.
Just a 10 minute drive from Iveridge Hall is St Aidans RSPB Reserve, where you can walk around the lakes, learn about the birds nesting there and do a bit of bird spotting for yourself.
If nature is your thing you could also take a little walk on the canal at Woodlesford and enjoy all the canal barges moored up. You can walk along the canal path to where the river and canal meet, and enjoy a bite to eat and some local crafts in the cafe Rivers Meet Craft Cafe.
We hope you enjoy all these activities as much as us. If you have any suggestions to add to our perfect south leeds day out then get in touch and we can add it in!
